Construction Phase - Week 2

21-27 August 2022 

Lots of progress this week. All 4 solar panel sections were framed this week.
There are 2 sections with three 480 watt panels that will supply renewable energy for the house; both are the same as shown in the image below and
2 sections of two 480 watt panels that will supply renewable energy for the motor.

We also started and completed construction of an "RV" style bed.
We built a basic "queen' size foam mattress bed frame where the mattress base can be lifted to access the under bed stowage.

Perhaps the highlight of this week, for me at least, was the application of the "filon" exterior to one of 8 exterior wall panels
Here you see section eB8 with a filon exterior and the rear access door installed.
Some trim is still required but basically this exterior bulkhead is for all intents and purposes now complete.

The majority of the solar system compnents arrived this week.
So next week we will install more filon and some of the solar components needed to run the houseboat from the power of the sun.
