Construction Phase - Week 8

Having successfully finished the first 'assembly' and 'dis-assembly' last week, it was now time to focus on service infrastructure installation - electrical, plumbing and EPS insulation.
Here you see external bulkhead section # 7 and the window opening is for one of the 3 bedroom windows.

Anyone know what this is?
It is called a hot knife and it is the best tool I've found for cutting EPS and XPS rigid insulation.
What about the little black ball?   Anyone?

That ball (after being heated and placed on top of the EPS) made this cavity with just gravity. Pretty cool eh?
I'm using a heated 3/4" ball bearing to make round columns in the EPS insulation for plumbing the 1/2" pex pipe (fits perfect by-the-way) and to run electrical cables.

This is the starboard forward external bulkhead section # 3 with EPS insulation installed. The large window opening is in the living room while the smaller window opening is in the galley.
